I was thrilled this month when I received my copy of Style at Home magazine to find that this edition is dedicated to 'upcycling'. This is the latest term for the shabby chic style synonymous with My Back Shed Too! With more people striving to make environmentally responsible purchases it is refreshing to see mainstream media sing the praises of making the old new again - but better! |

We have been very busy performing our Makeover Magic for customers, transforming their tired furniture pieces into one-of-a-kind treasure. Likewise, it's been a challenge to keep furniture pieces in the store! In fact, once again I've had to find addition space for us!
Do you have furniture hidden in your basement or garage? Perhaps your upholstery looks tired. Is your diningroom or bedroom set out of date? BTW - I was also amused to see that Style at Home had borrowed our term "Makeover Magic" to describe the process of remaking vintage furniture. Like Mom said, 'imitation is the best form of flattery'. Oh well, our prices are better too! See pg. 70 of July 2009 Style at Home magazine for great inspiration.
